My “Why?”
Why photography?
This question has become increasingly prominent for me as I battle chronic illness. In the past couple of years I’ve received multiple diagnoses that have made photography more difficult for me. I’ve seriously questioned if this is the right career path for me. I have come to the conclusion that it is though, as I hold a deep passion for this medium.
My “why” is pretty simple- photography brings me joy and fulfillment. I can’t stop doing it. I have to hold myself back from editing on the weekends because I’m so excited to bring to life the session I just completed. When I’m not photographing, I’m coming up with new ideas for my next session. Most importantly to me though, I get to capture YOU. To me, people are the most beautiful subject to capture. Your spirit, your light, your joy, it inspires me. I want to capture that, I love bringing that out in people.
It’s my calling, and I won’t stop.
